Experience and Achievement are Valuable.

My name is Earl “Dub” Gillum. After a 29-year career of service with the Texas Highway Patrol, it will be my honor and privilege to serve as Justice of the Peace in Hood County, precinct 4.

My core values of integrity and honesty will guide my consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values, which have been integral in my career with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

My knowledge of both Traffic and Criminal Law will allow me to serve the people of Hood County, after having dealt extensively in these areas over the past 29 years. Also, my years of experience in Critical Incident Response Training along with death notification, give me tremendous expertise in these areas.

State Judicial Commission on Judicial Conduct,
the Ethics Commission, and our society, hold Justices of the Peace to the highest of standards. As a trooper in the Texas Highway Patrol, I was held to a similar standard; a standard I will continue to uphold as Justice of the Peace.

I’m confident in my ability to become JP, in part due to my time spent as a police instructor. As an instructor, I gained in-depth knowledge of many critical subjects that deal with a wide variety of situations such as Disaster Management & Mitigation, Emergency Preparedness, Conflict Resolution, and Cultural Diversity.

I have served our great state, city, and county in many ways over the past 29 years including: as a Law Enforcement Officer, Safety Education Officer, Public Information Officer,
Optimist Club President, and numerous other volunteer activities.

As Justice of the Peace, I look forward to continuing my life of service in this awesome community of ours.

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you. I hope to earn your vote.
